Meet William
ABOUT WILLIAM
William Beck is a lifelong Minnesotan who lives in Hastings with his wife, Mya, and their two children. When the Becks learned their oldest son was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, they became committed advocates for people with disabilities.
A former educator, William still enjoys the occasional day in the classroom as a substitute teacher.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
William's commitment to community service runs deep. As a public charter school board member, he championed innovative education option to empower families and improve student outcomes.
Serving as a heritage preservation commissioner in Hastings, William worked to protect our local history and promote thoughtful development, honoring our river town's legacy.
As a church youth leader, he mentors young people, fostering positive values and healthy resilience for the next generation.
Additionally, as a disability advocate, William fights for better support and accountability in services for vulnerable Minnesotans, ensuring no one is left behind.
