On the Issues

Minnesota families deserve a government that works as hard as they do. William Beck is committed to lowering costs, protecting taxpayer dollars, strengthening local communities, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed. His priorities are simple: accountability, affordability, and a brighter future for Minnesota families.

Affordability

Minnesota families are feeling the squeeze from rising costs, higher taxes, and policies that make everyday life more expensive. It’s time to put working people first and bring some common sense back to the budget.

• Cut the cost of living by reining in excessive fees and mandates that quietly raise prices for working families.

• Protect your paycheck by fighting tax hikes and pushing targeted tax relief on essentials like childcare and everyday necessities.

• Stop taxing what you’ve earned by ending the tax on Social Security benefits and putting a moratorium on property tax increases.

• Put Minnesota families first by focusing on lowering household costs instead of growing bureaucracy.

Fraud

Minnesotans deserve a government they can trust. They deserve a government that safeguards taxpayer dollars instead of letting them slip into the hands of scammers and insiders. We need accountability, transparency, and real consequences for fraudsters.

• Crack down on waste and abuse so every tax dollar supports real people, not scammers or political insiders.

• Strengthen oversight and transparency to make sure state programs produce results and stay accountable.

• Restore trust in government by enforcing tough auditing and stopping the kind of fraud that’s burned Minnesota before.

• End the revolving door by stopping politicians and top officials from cashing out into the very industries they were supposed to regulate.

Healthcare

Healthcare should be affordable, accessible, and centered on patients—not bureaucracies or insurance red tape. Minnesotans deserve real choices and real control over their care.

• Lower costs through choice and competition so families can access care they trust without breaking the bank.

• Empower patients with HSAs and direct primary care to give people more control over everyday health needs.

• Require hospitals, clinics, and insurers to clearly disclose prices up front, so families know the real cost of care before they walk in the door.

• Increase access in underserved areas by cutting red tape and allowing more local clinics and providers to open their doors.

Data Centers

As Big Tech expands across Minnesota, we need policies that protect taxpayers, workers, and local communities—not special deals that leave families paying the tab.

• End sweetheart deals by denying special tax breaks that leave taxpayers holding the bill for Big Tech’s energy demands.

• Ban NDAs in data-center negotiations so local officials can’t hide project details from the people they serve.

• Keep public jobs public by banning the government from replacing public-sector workers with AI, ensuring Minnesotans’ jobs are protected.

Environment & Natural Resources

Minnesota’s natural resources are central to our way of life. We can protect what we love while still supporting good jobs and strong communities.

• Back responsible mining that brings good jobs and helps our communities grow—without cutting corners on safety or the environment.

• Get clean water flowing by navigating the grant process to secure Hastings and Cottage Grove the funds they need for modern water treatment.

• Grow smart, protect what we love by encouraging development that doesn’t steal from our natural beauty or our children’s future.

Education

Every child deserves a great education, and every parent deserves a say in how their kids are taught. It’s time to focus on students, support teachers, and make sure schools are preparing young people for real life. Let’s focus on education excellence and raise test scores in our state.

• Support teachers and staff by investing in the classroom, not bureaucracy, so educators can focus on students.

• Focus on skills that matter by promoting career, technical, and life-skill programs that prepare Minnesota kids for real-world success.

• Protect women’s sports by ensuring girls and women compete on a level playing field that’s fair and safe.
